Organised by the Department of Foreign Language Education at the Faculty of Education, the panel took place on May 4, 2026, in the Ahmet Altıntaş Hall with a large attendance. The event, where graduates of English and German Language Teaching shared their professional experiences, was followed with great interest by students and academics. Graduates from various sectors participated as speakers.
Among the alumni participants were German language teacher Didem Savaş Esmer, Faculty of Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Egemen Kaya, youth worker Ayşe Karanlık, prospective English language teacher Melih Öztürk (currently undergoing AGS training), English language teacher Umutcan Gülener, German language teacher Murat Yaylı, Sabır Kuru from the tourism sector, and German language teacher İlayda Fatih, who shared their experiences.
The panelists guided students by describing their career journeys from teaching to academia, and to the public and private sectors. Important information was shared, particularly regarding post-graduation career options, job search processes, and professional development.
The event was moderated by Aslı Köşker, Mehmet Efe Şeker, and Emir Nurettin Can, students from the English and German Teaching department. Throughout the panel, students had the opportunity to ask graduates direct questions and learn about topics they were curious about regarding career planning. The panel concluded after a Q&A session, and participants stated that such events were very beneficial in terms of career awareness.
